Georg Teles | good evening !
have something Time found & one of my projects adopted (Archivierer) & place solid, that EOF(#Nr) correctly is (1= end access, 0 = not) only if The File max. 2 Gb big is - additionally gives GetFileSize(#Nr) too right values with the same circumstance back - FilePos(#Nr) supply too only right values, if the Zeiger (about) under 2^31 is
Archive can discretionary big his - now would many say, who power already Archive > 2 Gb ? naja I can me not yet decide, a boundary To wander, would like but no settle
my idea: first of all Filesize with FileSize in String take off - additionally: if FilePos > 2^31 access, should one factor staid go (s. FilePos supra), with Seek #Nr,position ließe itself then free from problems by the archive moving
in the combination You can then slight check, whether Error reading aufgetreten are (zB. Archivende correctly access, missing one byte, is a byte dazugekommen etc.)
there elegantere Solution what EOF & FilePos, in link with very large Files, angeht ? (no QuadInt ergo I XPSE use)
