I can Dietmars trouble sincere said not understand. we create our Documentation too over Word 2000/2003, The Doku comprising currently 327 pages. the Open and Save lasts thereby already a couple sec, this is clear. but the document can itself lovely Edit, no Abstürze or ähnliches.
with OpenOffice have I such documents yet not machine.
i'd therefore in the momentum sooner suppose, that the trouble on your system (Hard- and/or software) to search is.

can your trouble confirm.my Schwiegervater has its Lebensgeschichte in a almost 800 pages DinA5 stature on my Uralt 8086 XT with WordStar 4.0 typed.
could with Word these File only To max the Häfte import, then froze my computer one.
have The File then without Problems with it on the Oldierechner revised and ausgedruckt.the format in Blocksatz went too Ruckzuck.
Selbige Experience with the speed and Laufsicherheit have so did i with Bildbearbeitungsprogrammen made.
earlier main memory yet rarely and very valuable was, were too The programs plenty sorgfältiger and Resourcensparender program as today.

The Problems there only at Save (gelegentliche Abstürze, or. "Kann not write ..."). once could I the document straight yet as *.doc notspeichern. at that Nacharbeiten the verkorksten Formatierungen coming then by me so correctly. joy on.
the transfiguring in PDF goes blitzschnell, this is not the trouble. too the loading the PDF (still already over 7 MB) with the Foxit-Reader power no Problems.

today would so did i Einzelkapitel write and then with "FreePDF" the first chapter as "MultiDoc" and the latest then on Desktop Save.
with "BeCyPDFMetaEdit" (too FreeWare) You can then even yet a index add (name itself in Adobe Lesezeichen or Bookmark).
